The Oklahoma Farm Bureau has endorsed Republican nominee Jon Echols in the race for Oklahoma attorney general, adding the support of one of the state’s prominent agricultural organizations as the campaign moves toward the November election.

The endorsement highlights Echols’ relationship with Oklahoma’s agricultural community and his record of representing rural interests during his time in the state Legislature. The Oklahoma Farm Bureau represents farmers, ranchers and rural communities across the state and regularly engages in public policy issues affecting agriculture.

Oklahoma Farm Bureau Backs Echols in Attorney General Race

The Oklahoma Farm Bureau said its support reflects Echols’ longstanding relationship with farmers, ranchers and other agricultural producers.

Agriculture remains a significant part of Oklahoma’s economy and rural identity, making issues affecting producers an important part of statewide policy discussions. The organization has positioned itself as an advocate for agricultural businesses and families on matters affecting farming, ranching and rural communities.

Echols said the endorsement reinforces his commitment to ensuring that agricultural producers have a voice in state government.

“I am truly honored to have the support of the Oklahoma Farm Bureau in this race for Attorney General,” Echols said. “In the legislature, I was dedicated to making sure rural Oklahoma’s voice was heard at the Capitol, and as your Attorney General, I will continue to work with, and fight for, our hardworking Ag producers.”

The endorsement gives Echols additional organizational support as he builds his campaign ahead of the November election.

Farm Bureau Cites Echols’ Relationship With Agriculture

Oklahoma Farm Bureau President Stacy Simunek pointed to Echols’ previous work with the agricultural community in announcing the organization’s endorsement.

“Jon Echols has been a longstanding friend to the agriculture community here in Oklahoma,” Oklahoma Farm Bureau President Stacy Simunek said in a statement. “We know Jon will stand with Oklahoma’s agricultural producers to ensure that rural Oklahoma’s way of life is protected, and we are proud to stand with him. He has our full endorsement to be our next Attorney General.”

The organization’s backing places agricultural and rural issues among the themes emerging around Echols’ campaign for attorney general.

Oklahoma’s attorney general serves as the state’s chief legal officer and represents the state in a range of legal matters. The office can also play an important role in disputes involving state regulations, federal policies and other legal questions that may affect businesses, agricultural operations and residents.

Echols Builds Support Ahead of November Election

The Oklahoma Farm Bureau endorsement comes as Echols seeks to broaden his coalition ahead of the general election in November.

Echols has experience in both business and law and has served in the Oklahoma Legislature. His campaign has emphasized a platform centered on public safety, individual freedom and strengthening the state.

The Farm Bureau endorsement specifically draws attention to his work involving rural Oklahoma and agricultural producers, constituencies that remain influential across much of the state.

For agricultural organizations, state-level legal and regulatory decisions can have significant implications. Farmers and ranchers routinely encounter issues involving property rights, environmental regulations, water resources, taxation, land use and federal rules, giving the attorney general’s office potential influence over matters affecting the sector.

Echols’ campaign is presenting the Farm Bureau endorsement as evidence of growing support as the November election approaches. The organization, meanwhile, is emphasizing its expectation that Echols would continue advocating for agricultural producers and rural communities if elected.

With the campaign entering its final months, the endorsement adds another institutional supporter to Echols’ bid for Oklahoma attorney general and places his relationship with the state’s agricultural sector at the center of his latest campaign announcement.
