WASHINGTON — U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin is scheduled to attend the grand opening of a new U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services facility in Oklahoma City on Monday, September 28, highlighting the federal agency’s immigration services and fraud-prevention efforts.
The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m. Central Time and is expected to conclude at approximately 11:15 a.m. Mullin will be joined by USCIS Director Joseph Edlow for the event.
According to the Department of Homeland Security announcement, the opening will highlight USCIS’ continued efforts to address fraud by tightening processes and coordinating with DHS personnel across the country.
New USCIS Facility Opens in Oklahoma City
The new facility will expand the physical presence of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in Oklahoma City. USCIS operates within the Department of Homeland Security and administers a wide range of immigration benefits and services.
