The “Abraham Accords” were announced between mid-August and mid-December last year, and are considered one of the most important diplomatic achievements in the Middle East over the past 25 years, especially as the region prepares for a protracted conflict with Iran.

In his letter to the Nobel Committee, Dershowitz firmly believes that his appointment may be controversial, but insists that “the Nobel Peace Prize is not a prestigious award.”
“There is no estimate of what the international community will think of those who helped bring peace closer. This is an award for meeting the extraordinarily difficult criteria set by Alfred Nobel for his will,” Dershowitz wrote.
Kushner said in a statement that he was proud to be nominated for the Nobel Prize in October. However, the cloud of controversy that has arisen since Trump left the White House will affect the chances of the two making a high difference.
