Applications should be sent through United States Dept.
– Registration is free.
– Citizens cannot participate Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China (including Hong Kong SAR), Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and Its dependent territories are Venezuela and Vietnam.
– Selection is random.
– Visas are distributed by the Department of State in six geographic areas.
Requirements to participate
Visa Lottery participants must meet the following criteria.
– Be a citizen of one of the countries with the lowest immigration rates to the United States. Excluded nationalities are mentioned in previous lines.
– Being the son, daughter or spouse of a person holding a passport from one of the participating countries can access the scheme.
– Education and work experience requirements must be met. These are: A high school diploma and two years of work experience in an occupation requiring two years of training.
Warnings
– By making more than one registration request, the person is excluded from the lottery.
– Send the request in advance. Demand will cause web saturation.
– Paper applications will not be accepted.
– Submit the completed form. If not it will not be taken into account.
– Save a copy of the page and confirmation number.
– The United States Department of State does not report by email. Results can be found at https://dvprogram.state.gov.
– Government does not ask for advance payment. This is a scam.
– Dealing with a visa consultant or visa agent does not increase your chances of obtaining residency.
