Dallas. Space exploration Voyager 1 of PotA ship far from land It has arrived and sent back scientific data.

Four of Voyager 1's instruments are back in operation after a computer problem in November, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory said this week. The team returned to Voyager 1 for the first time in April to receive significant data, and recently ordered another survey of its environment.

Voyager 1, launched in 1977, traverses interstellar space, or the space between star systems. Before reaching this region, the spacecraft discovered a thin ring around Jupiter and several of Saturn's moons. Its instruments are designed to collect information about plasma waves, magnetic fields and particles.

  2. Boeing's first manned flight to Earth delayed by new leaks

Voyager 1 is 15 billion miles (24.14 billion kilometers) from Earth. Its sister ship, Voyager 2, is in interstellar space, 12 billion miles (19.31 billion kilometers) away.
