The recovery of the Torre Queralt building, a reference heritage and architectural element of the Secà, is underway and from next September young people from the neighborhood will be in charge of managing it to organize activities. The project is called Educational Space for Young People in Torre Queralt, which neighbors, entities and the city council have worked for nine months to make this space an inclusive and integrating leisure resource. It is planned to hold a youth assembly and an open day in March, to set up a driving group (with at least 15 young people) throughout the first four-month period and to start activities in September.
Every month, the manager made up of entities and neighbors will meet to monitor the project. Among the objectives of this initiative are to promote the feeling of belonging and the training of young people, to generate leisure dynamics based on values and creating learning dynamics and to work on intercultural, intergenerational and intersectional projects that facilitate a better understanding of diversity in order to achieve a fairer young neighborhood.
