US: Bill Gates, business magnate and creator of Microsoft, has asked governments to increase investment in science. Well, he considers it very important because of what the Covid pandemic has left us.

“The cost of preparing for the next pandemic is not great. It is not the same as climate change. He stressed that if we are rational, we will find out next time earlier.

It is worth noting that the billionaire has been very deep in this world about viruses and has made many predictions in the near future. Predictions are that humanity will deal with epidemics greater than those that generated the virus.

Gates has also launched a book, due to be published in May, called How to Prevent the Next Pandemic (How to Prevent a Pandemic), in which he presents a series of steps to prevent future pandemics.

It also suggests measures to prevent the coming virus from putting the entire world under control as it did years ago; It also talks about what humanity has learned from the various epidemics that struck the world.

Aspects that Bell considers essential for the future are the improvement of health systems, as well as in developed and third world countries.

However, one of the most prominent pieces of advice is that it indicates that a global system of pathogen surveillance should be formed. The agency does not exist yet, despite the efforts of the World Health Organization.

The existence of this global health entity would facilitate cooperation with countries to exchange scientific and medical information.
