This week ends the delivery period of the scientific monologues prepared by the High School for the Ciencia Show Canarias 2023 project
The Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment through the Canarian Agency for Research, Innovation and the Information Society (Aciisi) invites Canarian youth to participate in the best project for science enthusiasts and outreach, mentioning the public non-university centers of the islands in which are taught compulsory secondary education, baccalaureate and vocational training, which will end on Friday 9 June The stage of delivering scientific monologues prepared by students for Science Show Canarias 2023.
The videos of the participating students tell the flag of the Canary Islands with humor as real celebrities, and must be a maximum of 5 minutes long and a minimum of 3 minutes long. The monologues will address scientific or technological issues, evaluating originality and creativity, the subtlety and difficulty of the concepts and contents included, and the quality of the landscape as criteria. Video clips of participating monologues must be delivered by the center teacher, on behalf of the students.
Young students aged 12 or over enrolled in secondary, baccalaureate or vocational training courses from centers that participated in the monologue and teacher training sessions organized by Big Van Ciencia at any of the locations on the tour can attend the Ciencia Canarias Fair: Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Tenerife Nor Palma. The students were taught by a teacher from their school.
Promoted by Aciisi within the program ¡Acércate a la Ciencia y la Innovation! Ciencia Gallery seeks to communicate with young people through performing arts and promotes scientific and technological careers in adolescents with new pedagogical methodologies, such as pedagogical monologues of humorous type and with purely scientific content, really developed by the Big Van Ciencia team as an innovative element.
Ciencia Show Canarias is implemented in coordination with the Chair of Scientific Culture of the University of the Basque Country and for the second time in collaboration with the Field of Scientific Invitations and Creativity, STEAM, of the Educational Organization Service of the Directorate General Organization, Innovation and Quality of the Ministry of Education, Universities, Culture and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands. This version also contains a collaboration between the entities of the Archaeological Museum of Benahuarta of La Palma, the Cabildo de la Palma, the Museum of Science and Con Tenerife, the Cabildo de Tenerife, the Elder Museum of Science and Technology of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Auditorio Insular de Fuerteventura, which give up their spaces To hold scientific monologues.
