MLB has increased its pre-arbitration funding offer from $ 5 million to $ 20 million, which will be distributed to the top 30 players before the arbitral tribunal. MLBPA’s previous proposal was $ 115 million in funding, distributed to a team of 150 players.

MLB has set February 28 as the last possible day to reach an agreement allowing regular season openers to be held on March 31.
