“We have a very smart guy here. I know him very well. He’s very, very good,” Trump said of Putin in an interview with the Conservative radio station.

According to the former Republican leader, his first reaction after seeing the Kremlin leader recognize the independence of Ukraine’s divided provinces was: “It’s great.”

“Putin is now saying, ‘This is independence, a large part of Ukraine. I’m saying,’ How smart is that? ‘ And he’s going to be a pacifist, “Trump said We need to send troops like Russia sent to the US border with Mexico To control irregular migration.

The former US president said he had always been on good terms with Putin during his tenure and argued that the current situation would never have happened to him at the White House.

“I think he sees this opportunity. I know I have always loved Ukraine. I was talking to him about it. I told him: ‘You can not, you are not going to do it’, but I could see he wanted it. (…) We talked deeply about it, ”he said of his conversations with the Russian president.

Trump also predicts that China will follow Russia’s example and make some moves with Taiwan.

The former president, who has indicated he is considering running in the 2024 presidential election, released a statement today on the crisis in Ukraine, promising that “there is no reason” to achieve this position and taking responsibility for Joe Biden, who is in charge of him. ..
