Caprera wants to combine 3,000 wins and 500 home runs with Hong Aaron, Willie Mace, Eddie Murray, Pujols, Rodriguez and Palmero in their key positions.
The 38-year-old Slugger veteran is hitting .256 with 12 homers and 51 RBIs this season, 19th in Venezuela’s major leagues.
Cabrera’s current contract covers the 2022 and 2023 seasons and the Tigers have options for 2024 and 2025.
