The Cuban telecommunications company (Etecsa) announced on Wednesday on social networks changes in the validity of the subscription lifecycle for prepaid mobile customers.

According to the message received from the Havana branch of that entity, all prepaid mobile customers who recharge an amount equal to or greater than 100.00 COP, through any of the established methods, will receive the extended line validity.

This also applies to all purchases or gifts for bundled plans and/or packages they receive, in an amount greater than the stated number, the text states.

In this way, the minimum amount that must be recharged to extend the life of mobile phone lines with this type of service in the country is reduced.

This is the second announcement that Etecsa has made to its users so far this week.

Earlier, the telecom company, the only one in the country, announced a new offer that includes a modem in addition to mobile data, which can be purchased through international distributors.

Marketing of the package began yesterday, January 15th. According to the Etecsa website, it is a modem equipped with a mobile data connection to which several devices can be connected at the same time “and enjoy a better experience without a call interfering with the connection.”

“From January 15 to 30, you can purchase this offer through international resellers that includes: modem, data SIM and 100GB plan valid for 3 months,” the company's website explains.

Additional plans can also be purchased that bundle and extend the validity of the initial plan. The company did not include the purchase cost in its brochure.
