Body of missing teenager found in Lake Aguadilla – NBC Puerto Rico

Authorities found the body on Sunday Nathaniel Hernandez Juarbe 19 years oldDisappeared in Calero Regulatory Lake, Aguadilla.

Divers from the Bureau of Emergency Management and Disaster Management (NMEAD) recovered the body with the help of a drone from the Aguadilla Municipal Emergency Management Office (OMME).

The youth, who was fishing, apparently got stuck in silt after he saw some children having trouble swimming in the area and helped them.

The boys alerted relatives, who called 9-1-1 to report what had happened.

A portion of the reservoir was evacuated to continue the search for the youth. As a result, about 45,000 subscribers were left without water. Toriel Bacon, president of AAA, explained that the restoration of service will be gradual and could take up to 48 hours.

The body has been handed over to the Institute of Forensic Sciences (ICF) for related analysis and the municipality has indicated that it will take over the funeral arrangements.

Agents from the Homicide Unit worked with the Missing Persons Unit on the case.
