This Saturday, at Prime Minister League, City of Manchester received Liverpool and a 1-1 draw. But after the game, Pep Guardiola and Darwin Nunez engaged in a tense exchange, in which Jurgen Klopp intervened to break them up and end the altercation.

Pep Guardiola vs Darwin Nunez, again

On matchday 13 of the Premier League, Manchester City drew 1–1 against Liverpool, a game the Citizens dominated but lacked clarity in the competition area; On the other hand, the visit took advantage of some errors to reach a draw.

But football took a backseat after the match, with Pep Guardiola congratulating Jurgen Klopp and then looking out for Darwin Nunes. However, rapprochement with Uruguay was not fruitful. The forward complained about something, the coach tried to explain a specific problem to him, and it all ended with long faces and Klopp separating them and the other collaborators intervening in a heated conversation.

The Manchester City coach and the Liverpool forwards faced each other again in a 1:1 draw.

In the last match between City and Liverpool, in the Citizens’ 3-2 win in the EFL Cup, Pep screamed furiously for the decisive goal, but above all, there was the precise moment when, at the final whistle, Darwin dribbled past him. The exchange of glances is almost like prompting from the trainer.

Earlier this tension was born in the match between Manchester City and Liverpool.

What Guardiola said

In the post-match press conference, Pep Guardiola was asked about the crossing with Darwin Nunes, and without getting caught up in the controversy, he said flatly: “Nothing happened, he’s stronger than me. Listen, no, it’s not cheating. I am very satisfied. The second question at the press conference, are you talking about that? Here’s what I’m going to answer to the last question they ask me about Darwin Nunez and Pep Guardiola. Nothing happened”.

Here’s what Klopp said

The Liverpool coach brushed aside the controversy and declared: “I don’t think it’s anything that hasn’t been resolved already. It’s emotions. Pep wants to win, we want to win. We both didn’t win, so obviously nobody’s happy. “These things can happen on the day.”
