The University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma has announced the 26th season of its Davis-Waldorf Performing Arts Series, bringing four professional productions to campus during the 2026-27 season as the university continues its effort to expand access to cultural programming for students and the surrounding community.
The upcoming schedule stretches from October through March and includes modern dance, theatrical storytelling, vocal performance and rockabilly music. Performances will be held at the university’s Te Ata Memorial Auditorium and USAO Ballroom.
The series is designed to complement the university’s liberal arts education while providing affordable access to professional entertainment. Organizers say the program also supports local arts education by exposing audiences to culturally diverse performances across multiple disciplines.
Tickets Set at $25 With Free Student Subscriptions
Single-performance tickets for the Davis-Waldorf Performing Arts Series are priced at $25. Students can register using the name of their school to receive a free subscription to the series, extending access beyond the university’s own student population.
The program will also continue its FLEX exchange partnership with the Chisholm Trail Arts Council. Davis-Waldorf season-ticket subscribers will receive a FLEX pass that can be exchanged for admission to one event in the CTAC Live Concert Series, subject to advance reservations and confirmed seating availability.
The arrangement expands the range of performances available to subscribers and strengthens collaboration between arts organizations serving communities in the region.
Störling Dance Theatre Opens Season in October
Störling Dance Theatre will launch the season on Oct. 8, 2026, with a 6:30 p.m. performance at Te Ata Memorial Auditorium.
The Kansas City-area professional neoclassical modern dance company is celebrating its 30th anniversary and describes its artistic focus as “the beauty of dance and the power of story.”
The company is known for original productions that combine dance with narrative themes. Its work includes Underground, an annual production centered on the history and spirit of the Underground Railroad.
The season will continue Nov. 12 with Accidental Hero: Patrick Dewane, also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Te Ata Memorial Auditorium.
The multimedia one-man production tells the story of Matt Konop, an American World War II officer who found himself liberating Czech villages that his grandparents had left years earlier. Written and performed by Konop’s grandson, Patrick Dewane, the production incorporates archival photographs and footage with personal storytelling to examine themes of identity, heroism and fate.
America’s Sweethearts and Lee Rocker Headline 2027 Performances
Programming resumes Feb. 18, 2027, when America’s Sweethearts performs at 6:30 p.m. in Te Ata Memorial Auditorium.
The New York City-based vocal trio draws inspiration from vintage groups such as the Andrews Sisters. Its repertoire incorporates three-part harmonies alongside music influenced by the Great American Songbook, classic Broadway, 1950s pop and big-band jazz.
The group has performed at theaters, air shows and events honoring veterans across the United States, blending nostalgia with a contemporary live-performance approach.
The season concludes March 11, 2027, with musician Lee Rocker performing at 6:30 p.m. in the USAO Ballroom.
Rocker, a founding member of the Grammy-nominated Stray Cats, played a prominent role in the rockabilly revival that reached mainstream audiences during the 1980s. The upright bassist is known for an energetic performance style that includes spinning, throwing and standing on his double bass.
Over the course of his career, Rocker has been associated with sales of 10 million albums and has performed alongside prominent musicians including George Harrison, Ringo Starr and John Fogerty.
The four-event schedule gives the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma a varied lineup for its 26th Davis-Waldorf season while maintaining the series’ focus on professional performances, student access and affordable cultural programming for the broader community.
