The Torrelodones City Council and the THAM Association are organizing new sessions for February, including in the space dedicated to families.
Free activities, on topics of interest to you related to childhood education, adolescence and family life.
With them we want to maintain an active space for learning, meeting and sharing experiences and good practices. To achieve this, there is the participation of expert specialists who provide techniques and strategies to facilitate the educational task of the participating families.
The program is conducted online and to participate in the sessions simply register in advance via email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need to enable JavaScript to view it.), indicating the name, email, municipality and workshop of interest to you.
During February 2024, three proposals were prepared, all aimed at families with minors and teenagers.
These are the scheduled studies:
- Learn how to manage our emotions to confront our children's emotions
February 12, 2024 / 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM (Online)
Recommended for families with minors and teenagers.
We will know what primary and secondary emotions are, we will learn how to recognize our own emotions and the emotions of others, and we will know how to use tools for effective management of our emotions: control versus management.
Session by: natalia gizzi calcagno, Psychologist expert in neuropsychology, attachment and trauma. Specializes in working with minors, adolescents and families.
- The importance of boundaries in childhood

Recommended for families with children up to 10 years old.
We will recognize the importance of setting boundaries from childhood and provide guidance and tools for setting and managing boundaries with our children.
Session by: Maria Jesús Campos Osa. Educational psychologist, specializing in intervention with childhood, adolescence and families, developing psycho-educational projects, trainer and teacher.

February 28, 2024 / 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM (Online)
Recommended for families with children from 11 years old.
We will put into practice small daily tools to support the adolescent and we will provide and create coping strategies in adults, in the face of difficulties in setting rules and boundaries in family coexistence.
