The call for the first edition of the contest was opened “Focus on Science”, which invites you to submit photographic works related to scientific work, with special emphasis on those images that reflect the contribution of knowledge from the country.
The contest has the support of the Montevideo Photography Center (CDF) and the Basic Sciences Development Program (PEDECIBA).
“Focus on science” is intended for the general public and for people linked to PEDECIBA in any scientific and technological modality and branch. There are two categories open to the general public called “Science in the Daily” and “Art and Science”, while in the categories “Field”, “Laboratory” and “General”, only those who have a link with PEDECIBA can participate.
The deadline for submitting images is November 14, 2021.
The first prize in each category consists of $ 5,000; Three special mentions will be awarded to the best photographs.
