Wizards, Celtics complete three-team trade for Kristaps Porzingis

Wojnarowski reports that the Grizzlies will send the No. 25 pick and a 2024 first-round pick to the Celtics on Thursday night.

Earlier Wednesday, a three-team trade between the Celtics, LA Clippers And the Celtics would have seen Porzingis and the Clippers buy Malcolm Broughton broke up, sources told Wojnarowski.

Sources told Wojnarowski that the Celtics did not want to wait until Wednesday night to complete a proposed three-way trade and backed away from including the Clippers in the deal.

In that proposed trade, the Wizards would have gotten Marcus Morris, Amir Koffi And the 30th pick in Thursday’s draft, from the Clippers, along with the forward Danilo Culinary Boston, sources told Wojnarowski.

Porzingis, who turns 28 on Aug. 2, averaged 23.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 blocks in 65 games for the Wizards last season.

The Knicks, the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft, played his first full season in Washington after being traded by the Wizards at the 2022 trade deadline.
