Nashville-based symphonic power metal band Valkyrie’s Fire has released a new music video for “Evermore,” the latest visual from its debut full-length album, Out of Darkness, which arrived September 18, 2026, through Eclipse Records.
Directed by vocalist Bettie Floyd alongside ProMotion LLC, the video draws inspiration from Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven,” using imagery influenced by the 19th century while reshaping the literary work’s themes of grief and loss into a message centered on resilience, memory and hope.
“Evermore” is the third visual showcase connected to Out of Darkness, expanding the band’s effort to combine theatrical storytelling with symphonic and power metal.
‘Evermore’ Reinterprets the Themes of ‘The Raven’
Rather than following the sense of permanent sorrow associated with Poe’s famous “Nevermore” refrain, Valkyrie’s Fire approaches the story from a different perspective. The song explores mortality, isolation and the emotional process of continuing after the loss of someone close.
Bassist Dave Hale described the concept behind the production, saying, “the video interprets the dark, isolation-filled moments everyone faces in life, yet pivots toward a resilient message of healing. Rather than dwelling in permanent desolation, the narrative reminds listeners that the loved ones we lose live on eternally through memory, urging us to honor them by living life to the fullest.”
The video’s visual structure follows that emotional progression. Its verses use period-inspired settings intended to evoke the darker atmosphere associated with Poe’s work. When the track moves into its chorus, the presentation shifts toward a brighter and more energetic performance, reflecting the song’s transition from grief toward recovery.
Vocals from Adam Sanders are paired with harmonies from Floyd, reinforcing the contrast between the track’s darker subject matter and its ultimately hopeful direction.
‘Out of Darkness’ Marks the Band’s Full-Length Debut
Valkyrie’s Fire is a six-member symphonic power metal group based in Nashville, Tennessee. Out of Darkness represents the band’s first full-length record and combines melodic metal arrangements with the production style of Nashville’s contemporary heavy music scene.
The album was produced and engineered by Joey Grimaldi and features artwork by Jan Yrlund, whose previous design work includes projects associated with Battle Beast, Manowar and Delain.
The 13-track record also includes “Burning Sky,” featuring Mikael Sehlin of Amaranthe. Sehlin contributed guest vocals to the song and was also involved in mastering the album. The track uses historical and biblical themes to explore endurance under extreme circumstances.
Another song, “Cascade,” moves in a more atmospheric direction, depicting the transition from dusk into night as stars and constellations become visible. “Evermore,” meanwhile, uses Poe’s literary influence to explore a progression from mourning toward hope.

With Out of Darkness, Valkyrie’s Fire is positioning its music within the modern symphonic and power metal scene, combining orchestral elements, melodic vocals and heavier guitar-driven arrangements.
The complete album contains 13 tracks: “In Spirit, In Shadow,” “Evermore,” “Valkyrie’s Fire,” “Cascade,” “Burning Sky,” “Shattered,” “I See the Angels Fly,” “Skylark,” “Labyrinth,” “Bone and Thorn,” “Dark Moon,” “Nocturne” and “I Will Rise Again.”
“Burning Sky” features Sehlin’s guest appearance, while songs including “Cascade” and “Evermore” demonstrate the album’s emphasis on contrasting moods and narrative themes.
The release of the “Evermore” video adds another visual component to the album campaign, connecting the group’s theatrical presentation with one of American literature’s best-known works. By transforming the despair associated with “The Raven” into a story about remembrance and perseverance, Valkyrie’s Fire is using its latest release to emphasize the broader themes behind Out of Darkness.
