Payment dates for SNAP food stamps in January

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) of the United States aims to provide cash assistance to needy Americans to guarantee their nutrition.

SNAP consists of national funds distributed each month through Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards.

Many businesses and stores that sell food accept EBT card payments. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) increases SNAP contributions each year based on the Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA).

On the October opening day of the previous year, the 2024 COLA was determined to increase by 3%. With this added value, Americans can charge a limit of $291.00 USD.

Two-person households pay $535.00 USD and three-person households pay $766.00 USD. Households of four members are $973.00 USD and households of five residents are $1,155.00 USD.

Homes with six occupants approach $1,386.00 USD and with seven, $1,532.00 USD. Accommodation for eight family members is $1,751.00 USD and $219.00 USD for each additional person.

Payment dates

SNAP contribution comes from the federal budget but is organized from different states of the country. On the first day of January, this economic aid was distributed in Alaska, North Dakota, Rhode Island and Vermont.

From January 1st to 3rd, it is paid in Connecticut and by the 4th of the same month, the money arrives in Wyoming. Between January 1 and 5, dollars are issued in Nebraska and New Jersey.

Virginians receive funds from the first day of January through the seventh day of the same month. In New York, Oregon, and West Virginia, payments are made January 1 through January 9.

In California, South Carolina, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nevada, Oklahoma and the Capital District, fees are charged from January 1 to 10. From January 1st to the 13th, funds are deposited in Arizona and received in Massachusetts by the 14th.

The collection period in Wisconsin is between the 1st and 15th of the first month of 2024 and they pay in Kentucky until the 19th. From January 1 to 20, residents of New Mexico, Tennessee and Washington receive food stamps.

Missouri accesses these benefits between the 1st and 22nd of the current month, and they are received one day later in Louisiana. Florida and Texas have January 1-28 to receive the funding.

In Montana, this month is favorable between the 2nd and 6th and between the 2nd and 20th, Ohio is charged. Payment time in Delaware is between January 2nd and 23rd and in Hawaii it is collection time between the 3rd and 5th.

Financial aid will be available to Pennsylvania State from January 3rd to 14th. North Carolina and Michigan will receive financial aid from January 3rd through the 21st.

It is paid in Arkansas and Minnesota between January 4th and 13th, while Mississippi has dollars from the 4th to the 21st. Alabama and Maryland are collected between January 4 and 23 and paid in New Hampshire on the 5th.

Eligibles from Georgia and Indiana can benefit from the 5th to the 23rd and those in Utah are waiting for their collection on the 5th, 11th and 15th. South Dakota instituted its rates on January 10 and Maine decided to distribute SNAP between the 10th and 14th of the first month of the year.
