Athens-based modern extreme metal outfit Caelestia has secured an exclusive worldwide recording agreement with Eclipse Records, marking a significant commercial and creative milestone for the band as it prepares to launch its forthcoming full-length album, Revelations In Black.
The deal positions the group within the roster of the US-based independent label, known for its focus on heavy and alternative music, and signals a strategic push to expand Caelestia’s international footprint. The album is scheduled for release on 24 July 2026, supported by global distribution and promotional activity.
The signing follows the band’s collaboration with acclaimed producer Zack Ohren, whose previous work includes major names such as Machine Head, Six Feet Under, and Immolation. The record also features drummer Marc Reign, formerly of Destruction and Morgoth.
Frontman Pantelis “Lordwinter” Daskalelos highlighted the importance of the agreement, stating: “I am incredibly excited about this partnership with Eclipse Records!” says vocalist Pantelis “Lordwinter” Daskalelos, “This feels like a massive step forward for the band. It is a huge reward for the effort that we put into our new album, to be included in the roster of a well-established label like Eclipse Records”.
Guitarist Vassilis Thomas emphasised the operational advantages of the deal, adding: “Having experienced firsthand all the stages of the band’s history so far, I see our collaboration with Eclipse Records as a very important milestone. Eclipse Records, unlike labels that we have worked with in the past, is willing and able to offer a very wide array of promotional and distribution services, which will really take our band a step further. That’s why I feel very proud about this signing.”
From a business perspective, the partnership reflects a broader trend of independent labels investing in globally touring acts with established fan bases. Caelestia has spent several years building its presence across Europe and the UK, with touring activity forming a key component of its growth strategy.
Musically, Revelations In Black represents a refined evolution of the band’s sound. Originating in Athens, the group has developed a hybrid style that merges the melodic sensibilities of Scandinavian metal with the technical precision of American death metal. The production, handled entirely by Zack Ohren, is expected to deliver a polished yet aggressive sonic profile aimed at both core genre audiences and wider metal listeners.
The album’s thematic direction also reflects a more conceptual and intellectual approach. Drawing on literature, history, and psychology, the record explores darker subject matter across its ten tracks. The title track, “Revelations In Black,” is based on vampire fiction by Carl Jacobi, while “Dead Eternal” references Per Yngve Ohlin of Mayhem, focusing on insights drawn from his personal correspondence. Another track, “Wolves,” examines the historical Werwolf organisation during the final stages of the Second World War, addressing themes of propaganda and youth indoctrination.
Visually, the album is supported by artwork from Elena Vasilaki, designed to complement the record’s mythological and metaphysical undertones.
For Eclipse Records, the signing reinforces its commitment to expanding its catalogue within the extreme metal segment while leveraging established production talent and international touring acts. For Caelestia, the agreement provides access to broader distribution channels and marketing infrastructure, which could prove critical in scaling its global reach ahead of the album launch.
With pre-orders and pre-saves already underway, Revelations In Black is positioned as a key release in the 2026 metal calendar, underpinned by a partnership that both parties suggest will elevate the band’s commercial trajectory.
