The last Venezuelans to be deported from Germany last Thursday, February 22, when authorities took five members of the Fuenmayor Bozo family (two adults and three children aged 14, 9 and 7) from their home just after midnight. Risa, in the Free State of Saxony.
“More than 15 police officers came, entered the house and told them it would take them an hour to pack their bags because they were being deported,” recalled the children's grandfather, Francisco Bozo, who is in Germany because of residency. He says there were more than 30 policemen around the house.
Amidst the tension, Adriana Bozo, the head of the deported family's household, was electrocuted and rushed to the hospital. However, after medical attention and confirmation of their health, they were all sent to Frankfurt, from there to Madrid and then to Caracas. Always in police custody and “without any explanation as to why they were sent back” to their country of origin, details Francisco Bozo.
