Ramón, the grandfather of Cuban singer El Chaquell, died in Miami last February after arriving in the city thanks to humanitarian parole.

“Jackal’s grandfather passed away this morning. My deepest condolences. Everyone remembers that El Chagall was taken out of Cuba on humanitarian parole three months ago,” they add.

In February, Ramon had arrived in Miami with six other members of the artist’s family.
Her mother, her grandparents, her aunt, her cousin and her husband and one of their sons arrived in Miami.
A few weeks later, the artist showed in his networks that Ramon is one of the most important people in his life. The singer gave his grandfather a nice surprise by showing him the carpentry that was created in his memory in the city.
With the name “La Carpintería Martínez”, a place that also bears his grandfather’s surname, the reggaeton player seeks to keep his heritage and profession alive.
Pictures of El Chagall and Ramon’s visit to the location were posted on the business’s Instagram profile.
In the videos, the man was seen enjoying every detail and touching the tree, while his grandson’s pride and joy reflected on his face.
For the special occasion, the two wore matching white shirts with the carpentry shop logo and “Martinez Carpenter” emblazoned on the front with Ramon’s face.
The artist once explained that the business was started in memory of his grandfather, who raised the entire family as a cabinet carpenter.
