WhatsApp regularly announces updates or changes within the platform and it aims to improve the user experience with each update that comes.

In the last few weeks, 3 major changes have been released. So, here we bring the messages to the users of this instant messaging app.

New instant messages

It was announced that starting July 27, WhatsApp voice messages will begin to change, and now they will include a new format that streamlines the way people communicate.

Now, the app has enabled new instant video messaging, through which users can record and share short private videos directly in the chat, similar to a voice memo.

Audio chat changes

Audio chats are similar to similar features offered by the Discord platform. To activate them, it is only necessary to select the ‘Audio Chat’ option which can be activated in the group chat.

It should be noted that the function is only available for 60 minutes. Then it closes automatically.

The interface is designed for the convenience of users; Additionally, any member of the group chat can join the audio chat.

The new update has started rolling out since March 2023 and so far the beta version 2.23.16.19 has been testing for some Android users.

Share screen on WhatsApp video calls

WhatsApp’s parent company Meta has launched an exciting new feature on its messaging platform. Now, users can share a screen during video calls, allowing all participants to view the same content as the other party in real time.

This innovative feature is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to improve the communication experience on its platform.

To use the screen sharing feature, users need to click on the “Share” icon during a video call and choose to share specific apps or the entire screen. The person sharing the screen is identified at the bottom of the interface for easy reference.
