Sources assured this author that the athlete made use of that stopover in Panama and instead of flying to Cuba, he did so in the direction of Spain.

Yonlis, 25, has been one of the best amateur boxers around the world in recent years and is the island’s only champion to have won a world title in the last two editions of the tournament. In addition, he is 2-0 as a professional, with two fights by KO decision against Mexican rivals. Last Saturday he defeated Wanderley Pereira of Brazil by unanimous decision in the 75kg final.
