The shocking news has caught the attention of the entire world, and humanity can witness an event like a science fiction movie, thanks to Orn The oldest star known to scientists could impact Earth.
Asteroid Path”101955 Bennu”Examined by Chinese scientists since 1999. Now, 25 years later, researchers have pinpointed it A very possible solution To our planet Destroy it and thus avoid harm.
When will asteroid reach earth?
According to a study published in the journal Science, “Icarus”, Chinese scientists announced that they had returned after their space exploration Its mission is in 2023Asteroid Penny is within touching distance of Earth Just 0.05 millimeters, containing Potential risk.
Despite that, they promised. In case of impact on Earth, This is Does not represent mass extinctionAsteroid due to its diameter and mass These effects will not exist But if An entire region can be destroyed in the blink of an eye.
It was mentioned that the main objective of the researchers It did not detect the impact pathBut they are starting to plan An action plan to try to destroy the asteroid It affects the planet In 100 years. The program is designed by scientists Yirui Wang, Mingtao Li, Jisheng Kang, Jianming Wang, Xuangui Wang, and Pinghong Chow.
What will his plan to save Earth look like?
Researchers at National Space Science Center of China Bennu's impact against Earth has been determined 100 years to goA distant date but offers an opportunity to carry out experiments and design The deviation of celestial bodies is its structure.
The system the researchers developed throughout their project to deflect Bennu from Earth is an innovative synchronized impact system. 23 'Long March' rockets in Bennu orbitThis is They will deflect the asteroid's distance of 9 thousand kilometers from Earth.
China's plan is very different from the initial plan PotAt that time it was considered necessary Up to 53 ships to divert Bennu from Earth.
