The work of the Guadalczar Space for Creativity concludes – Province News

The Diputación de Córdoba has made delivery to the Guadalcázar City Council of the works carried out in a municipal building to adapt it as Space for Creativity, an action that has had a budget of 98,762 euros and that is framed in the Provincial Plan of Works and Services of Municipal Competition 2016-2019. The delegate of Territorial Cohesion of the Diputación de Córdoba, Juan Diaz, has visited the municipality with its mayor, Francisco Estepa, to know the result of this action with which “the needs program set by the town council has been covered.”

According to Díaz, “the works have consisted of the rehabilitation of the building to be used as Espacio de la Creatividad, an internally versatile space with transformable areas for multipurpose uses with the capacity to host alternative uses in the future ”.

“The performance has been developed on a constructed area of ​​153.10 m2 affecting the two floors of the existing building and the stair area. The different areas or rooms for creativity work have been conditioned, for which the building has had to be equipped with an elevator, storage area and toilets adapted for people with reduced mobility ”, said the deputy.

The delegate of Territorial Cohesion recalled during his visit that “although once the works began, a series of pathologies were detected in the wooden structure of the roof of the building, a study of structural diagnosis and the project was modified and the works contract to include the rehabilitation and reinforcement of this structure ”. Díaz has emphasized that “the design has been studied and cared for in a way that is related to the characteristics of the place marked by the surroundings of the BIC Torre Mocha.

The project has been written and directed by the SAU Bajo Guadalquivir of the Service of Architecture and Urbanism of the Provincial Council of Córdoba, being the construction company Edimovisa Constructora SL.
