San Juan Mayor Hanoi Sanchez takes office at PRM

The current mayor of San Juan de la Maguana, Hanoi Sanchez, was sworn in today (Sunday) in the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM).

José Ignacio Paliza (oseJosePaliza), the PRM’s chairman and the president’s executive minister, said on his Twitter account that the PRM would receive it, as well as dozens of district board directors and party leaders. Dominican Liberation Army (PLD) and People’s Force (FP).

“PRM today receives Hanofi Sanchez, the historic mayor of San Juan de la Maguana Municipality. With him, the directors of the district boards and dozens of leaders of the PLD and FP came in. We are great with you!”, The tweet said.

Sanchez, a follower of former President Lionel Fernandez and won the mayoralty of the municipality of San Juan de la Maguana by the People’s Army, emigrated from the PLD.

Similarly, Sanchez left the Purple Party after failing to win the last primary election on October 6, 2020.

He was elected mayor of San Juan de la Maguana by the PLD from 2006-2010, was re-elected for 2010-2016 and 2016-2020, and was re-elected to the People’s Army ranks in 2020-2024.

It may be recalled that after winning the last 2020 election, Sanchez spoke of being re-elected by the votes of the PRM.
