Rumors of scrapping the supply book in 2024 have been denied by the Cuban government

The Ministry of Internal Trade of the Republic of Cuba categorically denied the rumors circulating on various digital platforms about the elimination of the distribution book. So this is it published Havana Citizen Portal.

Through its official profiles on social networks, the domestic trade agency has described the information circulating among people as completely false. According to this misinformation, which is said to be backed up by a 15-year study, it was announced that the current ration book would begin to be phased out on a trial basis, instead targeting retirees and social assistance beneficiaries.

The false message also said that apart from those considered vulnerable, the population should buy the basic basket of goods from MSMEs (MSMEs) at prices determined by supply and demand.

It is said to begin in the east of Cuba

Also, it has been mentioned that this test will be started in the eastern provinces of the country.

The Havana Citizen Portal calls on people not to be swayed by false information and recommends accessing the corporate social media platforms of @MincinCuba, where you can access official information on this topic of great interest to people.

However, on December 5, 2023, the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cuba reported the entry into force of Resolution 101/2023 of Mincin, which modifies the regulations for those traveling outside the country. But the resolution nowhere mentions the abolition of the supply book.
