Reynolds Parade Perez, general secretary of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), said this Saturday that increasing the membership of the political body would become a “dysfunctional organization”.

“I do not accept that the membership of the political committee of the PLD will be increased to 45, because I do not think it will function properly,” another member of the political committee posted on his Twitter account.

I do not accept the increase in the membership of the political committee @PLDenlinea For 45, I think it would be physically inactive.

In January, Barrett Perez announced that he would not be re-employed to continue as general secretary of the PLD, and that he should not be considered to continue in office and should only be a member of the Central Committee. To his health he must reduce his political activities.

A member of the political committee also responded to Parade Perez’s tweet Jose Tomas Perez, Who agreed with the proposal of the former senator of the National District.

“I totally agree with my colleague and friend Reynolds Parade !!”, the former ambassador responded to the rejection of raising the purple party leadership from 35 to 45.

“The Political Committee shall consist of the Executive Committee of the Central Committee and the Chairman of the Party, the General Secretary and forty-three (43) full members,” the article establishes.

IX Jose Joaquin’s Pide Medina The Central Committee’s membership in the Congress will be about 1,130 members, indicating an increase of 78%, so the increase would suggest 29 per cent to add 43 members to the Political Committee, including the President and the Secretary – General.

The Organizing Committee will submit this proposal this Sunday from 10:00 am to Monday, February 22 at 10:00 am through the site www.plddigital.do.

The political committee currently has 35 members in addition to the party leader and general secretary.
