Powerball jackpot increase for Monday’s drawing

Powerball Prize It increased next Monday after no one matched the winning numbers in last Saturday’s draw.

For the aforementioned drawing, the jackpot is $235 million.

If someone were the winner and decided to claim the amount in one lump sum instead of annuities, they would receive $107.9 million. You also have the option of choosing the full payment, but divided into payments over the next 30 years.

This award comes after a person in California won the $1.73 billion Powerball jackpot at the beginning of October, ending a long streak without winning the jackpot.

The jackpot was the second largest lottery prize in the world, after the $2.04 billion prize won by the winner of the Powerball game in California last November.

The slim odds of matching the winning Powerball combination — one in 292.2 million — are designed to generate jackpots.

In most states, a Powerball ticket costs $2 and players can choose their own combination or let the computer do it for them.

Powerball is played in 45 states plus Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
