The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has expanded the main card for its Pittsburgh debut on 28 March, adding two bouts that further reinforce the promotion’s strategy of delivering high-profile match-ups as it opens its 2026 United States calendar.
The event, titled PFL Pittsburgh, will take place at the UPMC Events Center in Pennsylvania and marks the organisation’s first stop in the US this year. With the newly announced contests, the main card now comprises four bouts, combining established names, unbeaten prospects and former champions across multiple weight classes.
In the women’s flyweight division, Brazil’s Ariane Lipski da Silva will make her PFL debut against Hawaii-based Sumiko Inaba. Lipski da Silva enters the contest ranked No. 8 with a professional record of 17-11, while Inaba, ranked No. 4, brings an 8-2 record into the bout. The pairing adds further depth to a women’s division that has become an increasingly important commercial and competitive pillar for the league.
At featherweight, unbeaten prospect Alexei Pergande is set to face Julio Arce, with both fighters making their first appearances in the PFL cage. Pergande, ranked No. 8, carries a 7-0 professional record, while Arce, ranked No. 9, arrives with extensive experience, having compiled a 21-6 record across his career.
General sale tickets for the event are now available via Ticketmaster, with further bout announcements expected in the coming weeks as the promotion finalises its undercard. For PFL, the Pittsburgh event represents both a sporting showcase and a commercial opportunity as it continues to expand its footprint in key US markets.
Broadcast arrangements underline the league’s growing media reach. The main card will air in the United States on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes at 10.00pm ET, while the early card will be available from 7.00pm ET on the ESPN App for subscribers with access to the ESPN Unlimited plan. The distribution strategy reflects PFL’s ongoing partnership with ESPN and its focus on maximising audience access across linear and digital platforms.
The event will be headlined by a middleweight contest featuring former Bellator champion Johnny “Pressure” Eblen, who brings a 16-1 record into his PFL debut against Bryan “The Butcher” Battle, who stands at 12-2-1 with one no contest. The co-main event sees Pittsburgh native Dalton “Hercules” Rosta return to action against former PFL champion Impa Kasanganay, adding a strong local narrative to the card.
From a sporting perspective, the newly announced women’s flyweight bout highlights the contrasting backgrounds of its participants. A 14-fight veteran of the UFC, Ariane Lipski da Silva has competed professionally since 2013. Aptly nicknamed “Queen of Violence,” the Brazilian has secured finishes in 10 of her 17 professional victories. Her opponent, Sumiko Inaba, is described as a dangerous striker and enters the bout following a five-round contest with undefeated Dakota Ditcheva. A former Bellator MMA mainstay, Inaba has never been stopped in her two career defeats, underscoring her durability at elite level.
The featherweight clash between Pergande and Arce similarly blends prospect development with proven experience. Pergande, based in Nashville, is regarded as a leading prospect from Kill Cliff FC and comes into the bout following a first-round submission victory in August. Arce, meanwhile, is a 10-fight UFC veteran making his PFL debut and arrives on a three-fight winning streak, positioning the contest as a significant early test for the unbeaten Pergande.
With its mix of recognised champions, emerging talent and local interest, PFL Pittsburgh reflects the organisation’s broader business strategy: using targeted regional events and broadcast partnerships to grow its brand while delivering competitive match-ups. As the promotion prepares for its first US event of 2026, the expanded main card signals a clear intent to start the year with momentum.
The updated main card for PFL Pittsburgh will take place at the UPMC Events Center on 28 March, with coverage beginning at 10.00pm ET on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes.
