(CNN) — People magazine has named actor Patrick Dempsey as this year’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’.
The news was revealed on Tuesday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Released in the episode. With Dempsey’s voice and face obscured, members of the public asked him questions to try to identify him.
“I’m glad they made a decision and it was me this year,” Dempsey told Kimmel.

Dempsey takes over from Chris Evans, who was crowned 2022’s Sexiest Man Alive.
When Kimmel asked Dempsey on Tuesday if Evans had called yet to “recognize him,” Dempsey said they hadn’t spoken yet.
“I’m hoping to get a call when I get off the stage tonight,” he said.
