New sessions of “A Space for Families”

City Council Social Services and the THAM Commonwealth invite families to participate in sessions they organize free of charge within the “Space for Families” on topics of interest related to childhood and adolescent education and family coexistence. .

They want to maintain with them an active space for learning, meeting and exchanging experiences and good practices in which they share expert professionals who provide techniques and strategies to facilitate the educational task of the participating families.
The program is conducted online and to participate in the sessions simply register in advance via email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need to enable JavaScript to view it.), indicating the name, email, municipality and workshop of interest to you.

During the months of November and December, four proposals were scheduled with the hope that they would receive attention. These are the scheduled studies:

November 9, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm (online).
“How to manage technology use through agreement”
A guide aimed at parents of difficult or difficult-to-use teenagers to understand how to negotiate and manage situations that can destroy a good coexistence.
Session by the HONEY SEC Association.
*Recommended for families with pre-teen children.

November 15, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm (online).
“Learn mindfulness techniques to apply as a family”
When a pre-teen is anxious and irritable, it may also affect their ability to sleep and their school performance, reducing their ability to concentrate. How can we help you calm down and be more relaxed? Mindfulness is undoubtedly an excellent tool.
Session led by Susana Paniagua (Public Health Psychologist. Trainer and Trainer. Director of Si Psicología)
* Recommended for families with children from 11 years old.

November 29, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm (online).
“Adolescents and mental health. What is expected and unexpected at this stage?
Space will be provided to understand the reality of pre-adolescents, to be able to adapt to their needs and difficulties, as well as to know and apply small daily tools to support the adolescent.

December 4, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm (online).
“How do we help our sons and daughters acquire social skills?”

* Recommended for families with children up to 10 years old.
