Liberty unveils new brand and logo

Liberty Puerto Rico today introduced its new corporate identity, branding, slogan and tagline “Your World, Better Connected” to the company’s joint offering that includes fixed, mobile and television services to consumers and businesses in Puerto Rico.

“For us at Liberty, every connection counts. By integrating mobile services into our product offerings, Liberty is now the most comprehensive communications, technology and entertainment company, offering consumers a better way to live and connect with what matters most to them, no matter where they are, from anywhere. Device, better, said Nagy Khoury, President and CEO of Liberty Puerto Rico, “more than any other company.” “Our new corporate identity represents a fresh start, a new Liberty that will bring the best network, best offers, and best services, all under one roof.”

All operations will be consolidated under the new Liberty name and logo. Its core element is the “Connection Gateway” icon that represents the union of entertainment, internet and mobile services. It is also a symbol of the company’s promise to bring technology, innovation, services, offerings and customer experience that truly provide consumers with the best way to connect with those they value most, wherever they are, hence the slogan “Your World, Best Connected”. Orange represents energy and passion and highlights Liberty’s offering, while blue demonstrates the continuity of two leading Puerto Rican communications brands and the global reach that the company provides to its customers.

Khoury explained that Liberty customers will have more than 100 points of sale and services across the island before the end of the year to get broadband, TV and mobile services under one roof, more value in shared products and offerings, efficient digital channels, and consistency in service across touchpoints. To provide the best customer experience, and continuous innovation.

More value and customer service options

Starting today, Liberty will offer higher broadband speeds to all of its new and existing customers, as well as double the broadband speed if the customer also has mobile services with the company.

Customer service options will remain the same for both landline and mobile customers. Khoury noted that calls from postpaid customers and Liberty Business customers are handled 100% in Puerto Rico, while fixed service calls are handled in Aguadilla and Luquillo, as well as centers outside Puerto Rico. Liberty has added innovative customer service channels such as WhatsApp and Lila, the company’s virtual assistant, which customers can contact by sending a text message via WhatsApp using the same customer service number for landline services, (787) 355-3535.

Network supremacy and continuous innovation

The combination of the best mobile network and the island’s leading fixed network truly provides Liberty customers with more coverage, data, voice reliability, speed and redundancy. Today, Liberty has the largest number of fibers with nearly 8000 miles of fiber between fixed and mobile networks. Network mix provides greater redundancy.

In terms of capacity, Khoury stated that the fixed network capacity is now double the capacity and the company has implemented more than 500 mobile network capacity expansions. In addition, he said, 5G coverage has continued to increase since the acquisition last October, and now covers 95 percent of residents in Puerto Rico, Culebra, Vieques and the US Virgin Islands (USVI).

The CEO said all of this is possible, thanks to the investments the company continues to make. The company invested approximately $85 million in network and infrastructure improvements during the first half of 2021, an increase of 160 percent over the same period the previous year. “We will continue to invest to improve and expand both networks in terms of coverage, capacity and reliability,” he said. “Liberty is building and adding more fibers to expand our coverage area and bury our fibers to protect them from natural disasters.”

Greater community outreach through the Liberty Foundation:

Like the new Liberty, the company is committed to expanding its community outreach efforts throughout Puerto Rico and the USVI. Khoury, who is also president of the Liberty Foundation, said the organization has donated $3.5 million to local community entities since 1996, promising to increase donations by at least 40 percent over the next 12 months.

“With the broad reach we now enjoy, we are keen to help more communities throughout Puerto Rico and the USVI and make a significant contribution to the markets we serve,” he concluded.
