Heartthrob Ann Wilson opens up about her battle with cancer

Leader of a famous rock band the heart, Ann Wilson, announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Due to this situation, the group has decided to postpone all dates of their 2024 tour.

The 74-year-old singer announced the news to her followers on Tuesday, July 2 via her Instagram account.

“Dear friends, recently I had surgery to remove something that turned out to be cancerous.. The surgery was a success and I feel greatBut my doctors are now advising me to undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy, and I have decided to do so,” Wilson wrote.

Due to this medical recommendation, the American artist will be away from the stage for the rest of the year to focus on her recovery. This means postponing the tour Royal flushA tour that was scheduled to begin in Cleveland on July 30 and end in December.

“I wish we could do these concerts. Please know that I plan to return to the stage in 2025. My team is arranging those details and will let you know soon,” the singer said.

In her message, Ann thanked her followers for their understanding and assured them it was a “pause”. “I have so much more to sing“, he wrote.

The news comes after Heart canceled their European tour in May, a decision “Ann Wilson needed an emergency medical treatment”. At the time, the band reported that the artist's minimum recovery time was six weeks.
