(CNN) — Emma Heming-Willis He shared An update on the health of her husband Bruce Willis.
The actor, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia earlier this year, is supported by his family, including his 9-year-old daughter Evelyn.
Hemming Willis posted a video on Instagram explaining the latest about her husband’s health.
“So I have to tell you this story, and I’m trying to do it without crying,” he said. “Because when Evelyn told me this story, I was a complete curmudgeon.”
In addition, she had her daughter research “fun facts about dementia” and create a list at school for her father.
Hemming Willis continued: “Now it’s not funny, but it’s funny. She’s really her father’s daughter because they both like different things. So I said, ‘Evelyn, we’ll always make sure Daddy has a water bottle on hand. Thanks for letting me know. But that’s the most you can do.’ The loving and compassionate thing to do is this: Be curious and educate yourself about your father’s illness.
The couple also share 11-year-old daughter Mabel, and Willis is father to daughters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah Willis with ex-wife Demi Moore. He recently became a grandfather for the first time.
