During a raid in Anasco they rescued a hundred cats

Authorities recovered one hundred cats this morning after completing a search and search warrant in a residence located at kilometer 2.0 of the PR-401 highway in the neighborhood of Playa in Anasco.

According to the investigation of Agent Jose Flores, coordinator of Law 154 for the Welfare and Protection of Animals in Mayaguez, Erica Marie Erickson, who lives in the apartment, is said to be a rescuer, who was complained by neighbors because of unsanitary conditions. The intervention was the result of a work plan led by Captain Jose Figueroa Andujar, commander of the Anasco district, in collaboration with the Department of Health, the Office of Emergency Management and the municipality of Anasco, the registration unit of the police. Many of the rescued cats are in critical condition, the news report said.
