The Union of Cuban Informatics (UIC) in Las Tunas, together with the provincial government, began building the Digital Citizen Innovation Lab as a space for limitless inclusion and creativity in the use of new information technologies. Information and Communication.

In a statement to Cuban News Agency, Daily Torres Diegues, president of the Union of Islamic Courts in the region, confirmed that “the local government has allocated a budget of 3.7 million pesos to carry out the work, which represents the material basis for a set of activities that the region developed during the first semester of this Calendar for its computerization and digital transformation, such as the case of the first marathon in pirates and festival software Free”.

The space plans to become a place to create solutions that help manage everyday problems at home or in the community, or to devise an application or effectively reuse electronic components.

Overall, the idea proposes to strengthen the role of the Confederation of Cultural Industries in the digital transformation of culture at the national level, enabling a network of citizen innovation laboratories that facilitate the digital transformation of the culture sector in five Cuban provinces: Camaguey, Las Tunas, Pinar del Río, Mayabeque and Cienfuegos.

To this end, a network will be established to enhance the capabilities of the participants, facilitate citizen participation and develop and validate exemplary solutions in the field of local cultural heritage.
