TULSA, Okla. — The Eastern Oklahoma VA Healthcare System will hold a hiring fair on Friday, November 6, 2026, as it prepares to open the James Mountain Inhofe VA Medical Center in downtown Tulsa. The recruitment event will connect job seekers with employment opportunities across clinical, administrative, technical and support services at the new veterans hospital.

The hiring fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central Time in the lobby of the James Mountain Inhofe VA Medical Center, located at 400 S. Houston Ave. in Tulsa.

The event is part of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ efforts to recruit personnel for the 58-bed medical-surgical hospital, which is expected to expand healthcare services for more than 65,000 veterans living in Tulsa and surrounding communities.

VA Hiring Fair to Recruit Healthcare and Support Staff

Recruitment teams from the Eastern Oklahoma VA Healthcare System will be available to discuss job openings, explain federal employment requirements and conduct hiring activities for eligible applicants.

The event will feature onsite interview opportunities across advertised occupations, although participation in an interview will depend on available vacancies and applicable hiring procedures.

“Opening a medical center begins with building a team committed to the Veterans we serve,” said Dr. Timothy Campbell, Associate Director Patient Care Services. “This hiring fair is an opportunity for candidates to explore how their skills could contribute to that mission.”

Available positions include:

These positions will support direct patient care, diagnostic procedures, medication management and hospital operations.

How to Apply for VA Jobs in Tulsa

Prospective applicants are encouraged to review participating vacancies before attending the November 6 recruitment event.

Job listings, eligibility requirements and application instructions are available through USAJOBS, the federal government’s official employment website.

Applicants should carefully review the qualifications and required documents associated with each vacancy announcement.

New Tulsa VA Medical Center to Expand Veterans Healthcare

The James Mountain Inhofe VA Medical Center is a 319,000-square-foot medical-surgical hospital designed to strengthen healthcare access for veterans throughout northeastern Oklahoma.

The facility will include 58 hospital beds and is located in downtown Tulsa’s Oklahoma State University Academic Medical District.

Hospital Located Near Major Tulsa Healthcare Facilities

The new medical center is situated alongside the Oklahoma Psychiatric Care Center and OSU Medical Center.

Its location within the medical district is intended to support coordination among healthcare facilities and improve continuity of care for veterans requiring different levels of medical treatment.

The hospital represents a significant addition to the region’s healthcare infrastructure and the VA’s medical services in eastern Oklahoma.

As preparations for the facility’s opening continue, the November 6 hiring fair will provide an opportunity for healthcare professionals and other qualified job seekers to explore federal employment while supporting expanded medical services for Tulsa-area veterans.
