Joint space flights between Russia and NASA announced

Russia has announced joint flights with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) by 2025. That year, an American astronaut will travel to the International Space Station (ISS) on a Soyuz spacecraft, while a Russian cosmonaut will do so on a Crew Dragon spacecraft.

Russian astronaut Kirill Peskov will fly in February next year on the Crew-10 mission, while NASA astronaut Jonathan Kim will fly in March on the Soyuz MS-27, the Russian space agency Roscosmos said.

It should be remembered that the agreement signed in November 2023 between NASA and Roscosmos extended their joint flight agreement for one year, despite the geopolitical differences between them.

In 2022, the two countries reached this agreement in July, which originally proposed a flight of three Russian cosmonauts in an American spacecraft and three American astronauts in a Russian spacecraft.

Finally, Roscosmos announced that in 2026 it will launch the Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft with three crew members on board, including cosmonaut Anna Kikina.
