With her charisma and talent, she won over thousands of people who saw her acting in children's soap operas, representing an entire generation. In 2009, after completing his participation in the soap opera I swear I love you, Imanol Landeta made a decision that surprised his fans and colleagues: he retired from the world of art. The young actor said he has alopecia, a condition that causes hair loss, which also affects his father Manuel Landeta and his brother Jordi Landeta. “I started going bald when I was 14,” Imanol commented in a YouTube interview for Imagen Entertenimiento.

He recalls how his hair loss became more and more apparent and how it began to affect his self-esteem. “We had to cheat to make it look like he still had hair,” she explained, referring to tricks used in production to hide his alopecia.

Although he assured that the condition did not depress him, it affected his opinion of his future in television. He shared that he felt he no longer fit the stereotype of a heartthrob that Mexican television was bashing him for, which led him to rethink his career.

After retirement, Imanol decided to completely stay away from the world of entertainment. He devoted himself to studying business administration and, for more than a decade, focused on agricultural field management.
