12:12 | With an afternoon of activities, music and celebrations, young people celebrated the first anniversary of this meeting space that gives them access to sports, leisure, cultural and training proposals.
The South Side Youth Space celebrated its first year serving the city's youth with hundreds of neighbors. This space, called “Professor Oscar Alberto Lasalle” and opened in 2023, offers alternatives, activities and suggestions for their healthy development and growth.
As part of the celebrations, Gonzalo Ferro, Secretary of the Citizens Administration in the municipality, expressed “pride that the Youth Space in the Southern Region is celebrating one year of accompanying thousands of young people in building their life project.”
“We are thinking about a municipal administration model that targets youth through prevention, containment and training,” Ferro stressed.
He finally stressed that “strengthening an integrated healthy city begins with the presence of a municipality that carries out the necessary work and creates opportunities for community development.”
The celebration included live music from the municipal music band, games, gastronomy and dancing with guest musicians.
