Search crews on Wednesday discovered that a US Army helicopter carrying five Marines had disappeared from radar on Tuesday night.
According to the report, rescue efforts are continuing as crew members try to locate the crashed device.
The helicopter was found in Pine Valley, San Diego.

The plane took off from Creech Air Force Base near Las Vegas and headed for Miramar in the San Diego area. The last communication from the ship was at 11:30 pm on Tuesday.
The Navy is coordinating rescue efforts with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department and the Civil Air Patrol. Cal Fire San Diego Capt. Mike Garnett was quoted as saying a call about the missing helicopter came in at 2:20 a.m. and responded to the last known location in Pine Valley. USA Today.
“Pine Valley is a mountainous region near the Cleveland National Forest about 35 miles east of San Diego,” the outlet notes.
The sheriff's department was notified around 1:00 p.m. that the ship was delayed in arriving in Miramar. Lt. Matthew Carpenter said the last sighting was in the mountainous Pine Valley area, about 35 miles (56 kilometers) east of San Diego.
Weather problems in California
The area where the helicopter is said to have disappeared has been stormed overnight.
It is not yet known what time the helicopter left Nevada. The weather service in San Diego expects 6 to 10 inches (15 to 25 centimeters) of snow and gusty winds Wednesday night in the mountains above 5,000 feet (1,524 meters).
According to the Naval Air Systems Command website, the CH-53E is a heavy duty helicopter. It has three engines and is about 30 meters (99 ft) long.
