Starting in 2025, Venezuelans require an electronic travel authorization (Etias) to enter 30 countries of the European Union without a visa.

Etias is a system created by the EU for people who are exempt from visas, such as Venezuela. It allows tourist trips of up to 90 days valid for three years.

However, this requirement does not replace the visa. Those wishing to work, study or live in Europe must apply for a visa.

The Etias process will be 100% online. A valid passport, email, credit card for payment of 7 euros and information to verify security through Interpol and Europol platforms will be requested.

Most requests are resolved within four days, although they may be extended to 14 days if additional data is requested, or 30 days if there is an interview.

An Etias permit does not guarantee entry subject to border restrictions. Its implementation, which was planned for 2021 and 2024, has been delayed to 2025.

What are the needs of the Venezuelan people?

Venezuelans must complete the Etias application form and obtain it from:

A passport valid for at least three months depending on the planned date of departure from the European country.

An email address.

Debit or credit card to cover Etias fees.

Which European countries will need Etias?

Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy: These 30 European countries require an ETIAS travel authorization for visa-free travelers. , Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Sweden and Switzerland.
