A lucky senior citizen from Florida took home $1 million in the 500X The Cash Lottery scratch-off game. Business was good for him and fortune smiled on him as he only invested $50.00 USD for the ticket.Franklin Winberry Sr. is 68 years old and lives in Jacksonville, Duval County. He claimed his prize money at the county office in that Florida city, according to the state’s lottery. The winner wanted a lump sum payment of $820,000.00 USD.

Lucky grandpa J and J bought a winning ticket at the grocery store. The store is located in Jacksonville Beach at 632 Beach Boulevard. As stated in the rules, the business owner will receive an additional commission of $2,000.00 USD for selling the lucky ticket.

$25 million award in dispute

This is the amount awarded by the $50 500X The Cash Scratch-Off Jackpot. In fact, this is the largest prize ever contested in Florida Lottery history. Experts point out that the odds of winning are 1 in 4.50.

In this same game, a man from Keystone Heights, Clay County, Florida, won $1 million last March. In that case, the winner also chose his luck with a single payment of $820,000.00 USD. The winner, Lee Tang, is also over 60 years old.

Something similar happened last February, when three lucky people from Florida became millionaires after winning scratch-offs in this very game. It was Matthew Gordon, 31, of Jacksonville.

The second is Roman Rodriguez, 61, a resident of Wimama, Hillsborough County, and the other is Darin Thorpe, 53, a resident of Port St. Lucie, Santa Lucia County. The winners decided to pay a lump sum of $820,000.00 USD.
