Etecsa announces new support platform for proprietary cards

Cuban telecommunications company Etecsa SA. Announcing a new support platform for “native” cards this Thursday.

From their official channels on social networks, they said, “Our own card service, available since 2002, retains its usefulness to a significant group of our users.” So, they announced an innovation in this benefit.

“In recent times, due to technical obsolescence of the own service supported platform, some of its functions have been limited; Recharge prepaid cards and related to the growth of new users”, they begin to say on their official website.

They explain that “cards that are currently enabled can be used normally.”

ETECSA asks them to contact their own helpline number 164 “in case of any incident while using the service”.

“With the new platform we want our users and the general public to enjoy this service with the required quality,” they added.

Some customers have angrily protested the new designation of Cuba’s only telecommunications company.

“False. It’s out of service and doesn’t allow cards to be recharged. No more cheating!” wrote one user.
