People who create an email in Gmail have 15 GB of storage for their messages. Although it is a fairly large space, which is very difficult to fill, it can be affected if you have many heavy messages. Luckily, there is a way to identify them.

To avoid running out of space (and that new emails stop arriving) it is not necessary to download any strange application. You can use this option from any device. It can be a computer, laptop, smartphone or tablet. You just have to follow these simple steps.

How to identify heavy emails in Gmail?

1. Open your Gmail account on any device.

2. In the search box (located at the top) you must write Size: 10M

3. Press search and only emails weighing more than 10 MB will appear.

4. If there are too many results, you can increase the number (for example, size: 200M) so that only super heavy emails appear.

5. Identify unnecessary messages and proceed to delete them. Don’t forget to empty the recycle bin as well.

You will also need to delete files from other Google services

Few people know, but 15 GB Gmail are also shared with other company services, such as Google Photos or Google Drive. That is, you also need to clean those platforms to gain more storage space.

Because Google Photos saves images and videos automatically, you likely have duplicate or unnecessary files that are taking up space. You can start with that platform in order to recover several gigs.

Gmail tricks

Gmail: so you can know if they read the email you sent

If you frequently send emails through Gmail and would like to verify that the other person has already reviewed them, there are a number of simple methods that will allow you to find out this information easily.

Google’s email service has a native tool that lets you know if the recipient has read the email you have sent. You will find the notifications of reading your messages in your inbox.

Gmail: is it useful to put periods in our email address?

Gmail is one of the most widely used email services in the world and, although it still competes for hegemony with Hotmail Y panorama, its functions have been growing for more than 10 years. Perhaps that is why there are still those who are unaware of some of the platform’s most useful tricks, such as one related to the points that are included within an address.

Surely you have noticed that many people usually put points in their personal email address, such as: “juan.perez@gmail”, but although this address may be valid, on the platform, no distinction is made to variants such as ” juanperez ”. Everything is clear when sending an email and, precisely, when writing said username. Here more details.
