YouTube is testing another way to deal with ad blockers

YouTube is about to launch a tough crackdown on users of ad blockers.

The information was released last month Network light Enables pop-ups to warn against using ad-blocking tools. But now he has gone a step further and taken action.

The revised notice says an ad blocker has been detected, but warns that the video player will stop working after three video streams if YouTube allows ads or disables the ad blocker entirely.

Alternatively, YouTube says, users can go ad-free by opting in YouTube PremiumIt costs $12 per month or $120 per year.

In a widely circulated statement, YouTube confirmed it was conducting a “small global experiment” asking users to adjust their ad blocker settings or sign up for the streaming platform’s premium tier.

At the heart of YouTube’s operation are in-stream ads. In fact, their announcement also states that “ads allow YouTube to be free for billions of users around the world.”
