Apple auctions allowed us to find fascinating items like the different versions of the original iPhone we saw in 2023. But before the end of the year, one collector revealed one more surprise. This time, It’s a check signed by Steve Jobs and has a special story behind it.

Works signed objects are extremely rare and any new development will keep followers of the company and its founders on the lookout. The most recent of these A check signed by Steve Jobs to then-electronics president RadioShack. But that’s not all: the check has to do with the origin story of Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak’s first partnership before Apple.

One of the first Apple checks signed by Steve Jobs is up for auction

Five years before founding Apple, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak met when they joined an “illegal” business. They combined their two passions, pranks and technology. The link resulted in a blue box.

The blue box was set up based on information provided by the hacker claiming that certain sound frequencies enable phone calls, ie. You can make free long distance callsLike they’re local.

These boxes were built using a TRS-80 microcomputer system that Wozniak had purchased from RadioShack several years earlier.. But that’s not all: this check has a connection to the origin story of the first association. The two Steves managed to sell 200 units of the product, and the profits were used to found Apple.

years later, One of the first checks issued by a bitten apple was to the same supplier, which was indirectly important to his first business. And it will be auctioned in a few days.

According to RR auction, the check is in “very good condition” and is estimated to sell for more than $25,000. On its official site, you can read the following features:

Exceptional check from Apple Computer Company, 6 x 3, completed and $4.01 payable to Radio Shack, July 23, 1976, signed by Jobs as “Steven Jobs”. The check, titled “Apple Computer Company,” uses Apple’s first official address of “770 Welch Rd., Ste. 154, Palo Alto,” the location of the answering service and mailbox they used to operate in the famous Jobs family garage. Very good condition.

This offer ends tomorrow 6th December. While it’s estimated that it could reach around $20,000, taking into account that a similar check earlier in the year topped $100,000, any surprises are possible.
